2 dead after they were ejected from SUV in Madera County crash

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people are dead, and three others were seriously injured following a traffic collision involving an SUV and a semi-truck in Madera County on Wednesday.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Road 23 and Avenue 13, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Investigators say a white Honda CR-V carrying five people was traveling westbound on Avenue 13 and approached a stop sign at the intersection. At the same time, a Freightliner semi-truck hauling sand was traveling northbound on Road 23, which does not have stop signs and has the right of way…
