WATCH: Tesla owner captures hit-and-run on camera in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The owner of a Tesla who says his vehicle captured a hit-and-run on camera in north Fresno is hoping to find the person responsible.

The Tesla’s owner made a police report, which has been sent to YourCentralValley.com. The report says that around 5:55 p.m. on December 2, in the parking lot of a restaurant at Maple Avenue and Copper Avenue, a driver pulled into a parking spot and sideswiped the victim’s vehicle.

The video that was captured on the vehicle’s onboard camera system shows an unidentified person pulling into a parking spot. That person then appears to hit the Tesla, get out of the vehicle and look at the damage, and leave.

The Fresno Police Department confirmed they are investigating, and the person who hit the Tesla could be charged with a non-injury hit and run. The investigation is ongoing.
