Family saved after getting stuck in Madera County mountains

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Search and Rescue was called out to the Madera County mountains to save a family on Friday.

The team says a family of four had been driving up a Forest Service Road above Sugar Pine when they came across a large, muddy section of road.

While attempting to cross it, they learned their SUV was not as up to the challenge as they were, and they became stuck.

Fortunately, they had cell service and were able to call 911…
