Madera community helps arrest gang graffiti suspect

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – According to the Madera Police Department, thanks to community action, a suspect in a southside Madera neighborhood gang-related graffiti was arrested over the weekend.

Officials say neighbors in the Parkwood neighborhood called police about juveniles tagging a community mailbox. Officers were able to quickly locate the suspects and make an arrest thanks to the information provided by the callers.

“This is a great example of the community taking action to assist law enforcement to combat crime and ensure the graffiti is cleaned promptly,” the Madera Police Department said…
