MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – In Madera County, an animal rescue is exhausting all efforts to keep two little dogs alive, but they can’t do it alone.
Bowe’s Animal Rescue is asking the community for help as they pay thousands in veterinarian bills.
Today, little pup Lana is now full of kisses in the arms of Megan Bowe. But just last week, she and her two sisters were abandoned and possibly poisoned in an orchard near Road 25 1/2 and Road 10.
“They were in really rough shape, but we didn’t know how rough,” said Megan Bowe, president and director of Bowe’s Animal Rescue. At first glance, Bowe just thought the three girls named Lexi, Lana, and Lucy were hungry and severely matted. “They all look to be related and about the same age,” she shared…
