FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Former Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama is working with a Fresno nightclub to “enhance security and safety throughout the venue,” according to the club’s owners.
The former police chief, who resigned in 2024 following revelations about an “inappropriate off-duty relationship,” will be working with Switch Lounge & Nightclub as part of the venue’s larger rebrand.

According to management, Switch’s $150,000 refurbishment will help it transition from “an 18+ venue to a strictly 21+ concept” and introduce “a more mature, upscale nightlife audience.” Paco Balderrama and his business, “El Matador Consulting,” were brought in to help the rebrand and improve standards.
