Woman leads police on slow-speed chase in Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A woman in her 20s was involved in a slow-speed pursuit after officers attempted to stop her driving recklessly on Thursday morning, according to police.

Police say an officer was patrolling an area of Old Town Clovis at Clovis Avenue and Fifth Street around 7 a.m. when they noticed a vehicle driving recklessly. They suspected the driver was under the influence.

Officers say they were unable to get the driver to stop the vehicle. The vehicle continued eastbound on Fifth Street, where it turned into Bullard Avenue.

The vehicle then drove up onto the driveway of several homes in the area, causing damage. It eventually came to a stop near the intersection of Fordham and Bullard avenues.

Officers say the pursuit did not go over 25 miles per hour…
