It was another frosty… and also foggy this time… morning in the Valley early Sunday, and we’ll be looking at more fog but less frost going forward.
First, the frost. Temperatures were COLD once again to start Sunday, with Merced and NAS Lemoore both dropping to 30, Madera and Hanford reached 31, Visalia reported a low of 32, and Fresno reported a low of 34 at Chandler Executive Airport and a low of 35 at Fresno-Yosemite. These low temperatures will be cold again Monday morning, but should slowly moderate through this week, as fog takes over our daily weather.
Fog will be our next weather headline. There was a bad 17 car pileup on Hwy 99 in Fresno Sunday morning, with low visibility from fog being a factor. That fog burned off quickly, but we should start each morning for the rest of this week with areas of dense fog, and that fog may have a difficult time burning off by the end of the week…
