City of Fresno Deploys Beam Global EV ARC Off-Grid EV Charging Systems to Support Municipal Fleet Electrification

Beam Global announced the deployment of seven EV ARC off-grid electric vehicle charging systems for the City of Fresno, California. The systems were installed at the City’s Municipal Service Center Yard and will support charging for Fresno’s municipal electric vehicle fleet.

Off-Grid Charging Deployment At Municipal Service Center

The EV ARC systems are designed to provide EV charging without construction, trenching, or connection to the utility grid. Each unit generates and stores its own electricity, allowing fleet vehicles to be charged on-site while avoiding reliance on grid power. The systems are intended to support fleet operations while reducing exposure to grid outages.

The City of Fresno procured the charging systems through Beam Global’s General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule contract.

“This deployment shows how cities can use existing cooperative contracts to quickly add charging infrastructure,” said Desmond Wheatley, chief executive officer of Beam Global.
