MADERA, Calif. (FOX26) — A family in Madera is left picking up the pieces after a fire destroyed their property Tuesday, just hours after they say they warned city officials about the risks posed by nearby squatters.
The fire, which burned for more than two hours, started in a vacant lot next to the Manrriquez family’s property and spread to their home and workshop.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the family says this was a disaster they had been fearing for months…
