Tulare police arrest three in connection with large-scale mail and identity theft ring

TULARE, Calif. (FOX26) — A spike in community mailbox break-ins across Tulare has led to multiple arrests and the discovery of what police say was a large-scale mail and identity theft operation.

The Tulare Police Department says they’ve seen a noticeable increase in mailbox break-ins over the past six to seven months, affecting neighborhoods throughout the city.

The cases were assigned to the department’s Street Crimes Unit, which began digging deeper into the crimes about four weeks ago…
