California lawmakers push bill to tighten oversight of biolabs

REEDLEY, Calif. (FOX26) — Three California lawmakers introduced the “Preventing Illegal Laboratories and Protecting Public Health Act,” aimed at preventing dangerous, unlicensed labs from operating in the U.S.

The move comes after what was found at the Reedley Bio Lab just outside Fresno, where deadly pathogens were discovered.
