Super Bowl LX flyover: Meet the Fresno fighter pilots

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The pilots of the California Air National Guard’s 144th Fighter Wing are preparing to make a grand entrance at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara.

The pilots are also trained to protect airspace to keep civilian aircraft from entering restricted areas, such as above Levi’s Stadium.

On Wednesday, F-15 fighter aircraft from the 144th conducted a live-fly exercise, in coordination with the Civil Air Patrol, simulating a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) violation intercept near the Fresno Air National Guard Base.
