San Joaquin Regional Transit District halts service due to board meeting matter, agency says

STOCKTON, Calif. — Multiple San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) routes are affected after service was halted Monday due to a board meeting matter, the agency said.

“Due to a Board meeting matter, RTD service is currently halted,” the district wrote in a news release on social media. “We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.”

An ABC10 reporter at the downtown transit center saw buses parked, blocking a city street and loading areas. Passengers were reportedly wondering what was happening, as they were unable to board buses.

Inside the board meeting room, ABC10 saw numerous RTD employees fill seats in the audience.
