CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Police say they are planning to file charges against adults who were seen “actively encouraging, organizing, and facilitating students leaving” Clovis schools on Tuesday to protest ICE.
“These actions are unacceptable. Adults who contribute to or promote truancy place minors at risk and interfere with their education,” Clovis Police said in a Wednesday statement.

Officers say they identified two adults from the protest and are working to identify the others involved. They add that they plan to file misdemeanor charges against them “for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.”
The students who attended are also facing repercussions. According to police, “CUSD is currently identifying students who left campus without authorization and taking appropriate action for truancy enforcement.”…
