The power of representation: How the all-Black fire crew in Fresno is making an impact

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – It’s not every day you get to see an all-Black fire crew, but that’s exactly what you can expect at Fresno’s Fire Station 7.

“We’re [on] the west side, and then you just have random, you know, people, just like I didn’t know there was a 4-0 Black crew. I’ve never seen this before,” said firefighter Lampford Mark.

“I know I didn’t see that growing up. And maybe I would have gotten into this earlier if I was able to see it,” said another crew member, Lestee Ceasar III.
