‘Getting ready’: Fresno crews cleaning up, preparing for storms

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – City of Fresno crews will be hard at work for the next few days as heavy rain and powerful winds continue to slam the Central Valley.

Scott Mozier, the Public Works Director for the City of Fresno, says their team was well prepared.

“We only had a small number of calls due to the advance clearing of drains, checking up pumps and even trees that had been trimmed. So, we did have a few trees that were down [Monday]. Our crews responded very quickly,” he said. “The main area we did have one tree that was down in southwest Fresno on a street that fell across the roadway.”
