Red-light runner causes multi-vehicle crash on Fresno’s Friant Road

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A red light runner caused a multi-vehicle crash on a notoriously dangerous Fresno intersection on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at Friant Road and Shepard Avenue at around 1:30 p.m.

According to footage provided by Friant Roulette, a white crossover driving up Friant Road apparently ran the red light and went directly into the path of a blue sedan and a white truck making a left turn onto the road.

The timing caused the sedan and truck to crash into the side of the crossover, which came to a rest on the center median.

The conditions and injuries of those involved in the collision were not immediately available…
