FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Hundreds of Fresno Unified employees could be laid off to help the school district balance its budget, according to a proposal announced Tuesday.
The district’s statement revealed in part that it is facing “a current deficit of $77 million and a projected $59 million deficit the following year…due to reduced funding related to declining enrollment and low attendance.”
