February 27, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that deputies have arrested 38-year-old Antonio Espinoza of
Fresno. He has been booked into Fresno County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. His bail is set at $500,000.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th, deputies responded to a report of a person being shot on the 2400 block of S. 11th Street in Fresno (Calwa). Deputies arrived and found a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and was determined to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies developed information at the crime scene and identified Antonio Espinoza as the suspect. The preliminary information shows this was an isolated incident. Espinoza lives in the same area as the victim. The two men, who know each other, were involved in some sort of conflict and it resulted in Espinoza shooting the 25-year-old.
