This past weekend, I got an ad in my Instagram feed for a vintage store called RnR Vintage in Clovis that I had never heard of before. When I saw images of the shop and how beautifully everything inside was arranged, I knew I had to visit as soon as possible.
I love vintage shopping for a number of reasons. I appreciate the high quality many items were made with, something we unfortunately do not always see in current manufacturing. I love having unique home decor pieces that are not the same items everyone else has, and I really enjoy seeing pieces that carry a history, especially those that remind me of my own. Spotting items that look like the ones that once graced my grandmothers’ shelves or tabletops feels like getting a glimpse back in time, reconnecting me to memories made in their homes.
I don’t think it was even 24 hours between seeing the ad and clearing an afternoon to visit RnR, and I am so glad I did. This is one of those articles I almost do not want to write. I want to gatekeep! However, a business doing things this well deserves every interested customer, so alas, I shall graciously share my find…
