FRESNO – Sweeten up your next blood donation with a free box of Girl Scout cookies, while supplies last.
A press release on Feb. 26 announced Central California Blood Center has partnered with Girl Scouts to bring back the “Give a Pint, Get a Box of Cookies” campaign from March 2 to March 14. During this two week event, all blood donors who give at a CCBC donation center or mobile blood drive will receive a box of Girl Scout cookies as a thank-you for helping save lives, while supplies last.
“We’re constantly asking for folks to come in, roll up their sleeves and really help save a life, because just one unit of donated blood can actually save three lives,” said Abby Minong, director of PR and marketing for CCBC in an interview. “So it’s a huge impact that each donation can do.”…
