TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 31-year-old Fresno man will serve time in jail after stealing $1,000 worth of Pokémon cards last year, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office announced.
According to court records, on April 25, 2025, Michael Ryan Baker had walked into a gas station on Dinuba Boulevard in Visalia and stolen $1,000 worth of Pokémon cards, initially estimated at 100 to 120 packs.

When he was confronted, attorneys state Baker lifted his shirt in a threatening manner as if he had a weapon in his waistband. After a quick chase, employees saw Baker had parked his car directly behind the store with the trunk open.
