Operation Take Back America targets 2 people in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A guilty plea and a sentencing were both announced by the federal Department of Justice as part of the nationwide Operation Take Back America.

Federal officials describe the operation as using the “full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.”

On Monday, the Department of Justice announced that 23-year-old Phatna Pich of Fresno was sentenced on Monday to three years and one month in prison, after he was found to have been in possession of a firearm and machine guns while being a felon. A search of his home in November 2024 found a loaded firearm and ammunition, as well as equipment used to convert firearms into automatic weapons…
