Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s new entrance will offer a Sierra-inspired journey

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno Chaffee Zoo will soon get an upgrade, as the board has approved a new design for the entrance.

Councilmember Miguel Arias for District 3 said Wednesday that the board approved the initial design of the entrance. The project will now move forward to the next phase of formal design development and construction planning.

Arias said that the new entrance is designed to take guests on a journey through the sierras.

Guests will arrive at the Foothills inspired plaza, walking through a forest canopy to the front entrance and into the zoo, which will be along a river path…
