Man crashes into Fresno home. Armed standoff ends with arrest, police say

A man was taken into custody Sunday, accused of ramming his vehicle into a Fresno home and later arming himself with a knife.

Fresno police Lt. Henry Garcia III said officers responded shortly after 9 a.m. to the 4200 block of West Corona Avenue, near Shaw and Brawley, following reports of a disturbance involving a man.

Garcia said the man intentionally drove his vehicle into the home, causing significant structural damage. Several people were inside the home at the time, but no injuries were reported from the crash…
