Getting to know new Fresno State transfer RB Tariq Thomas

The Fresno State Bulldogs revamped their running game in 2025, and now return each of Rayshon “Speedy” Luke, Bryson Donelson, and Brandon Ramirez. Yet this offseason, the ‘Dogs further bolstered the unit by adding Bucknell transfer Tariq Thomas. BarkBoard.com talked one-on-one with Thomas at spring camp to get to know the new RB and what he brings to the offense.

Thomas had a productive undergraduate career at the FCS level for Bucknell. As a true freshman in 2024, he had 167 carries for 792 yards and 4 touchdowns, plus 14 catches for 76 yards. He added another 626 yards of offense and 3 touchdowns as a sophomore last season. Now the 5-foot-11 and 185-pounder from Massachusetts joins Fresno State’s offense this spring.
