MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Madera County residents buckle up! The county board of supervisors approved two contracts to begin the expansion of Highway 41 from Avenue 10 to Avenue 15.
The expansion project has a price tag of $100 million, which is the largest project the county has ever tackled. The 4.5-mile stretch of Highway 41 will be widened to four lanes.
“It’s taken us 12 years to get to this point,” said Dominic Tyburski, Madera County’s Public Works Director. He says the expansion project will reduce collisions and commute times. “That whole corridor is going to open up, and it’s going to be much easier for people to get in and out of those developments,” Tyburski added…
