Nearly 10 years after opening its doors to much fanfare, the Corner Bakery Cafe in northeast Fresno has closed abruptly — and for good.
Workers were moving kitchen equipment out of the building Thursday afternoon while unsuspecting customers tried going inside the restaurant to place an order.
Reasons for the sudden closure, which went into effect last week, were not immediately known. Calls made to the restaurant were not answered…
