‘Told him no’: Grieving Fresno mother warns parents dangers of kids on motorized bikes

FRESNO, Calif (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno family is speaking out through overwhelming grief after losing their 13-year-old son in a tragic crash, urging city leaders to take action on the growing use of motorized bikes among teens.

The crash happened near the intersection of Bullard and Palm Avenues on May 1, a stretch the family now describes as dangerous for motorized two-wheelers.

Dominiq Puentes’ mother, Brittany Escobedo, says her son had long wanted a motorized bike, something she refused out of concern for his safety.
