Valley Children’s Hospital could soon benefit from a new California license plate that allows drivers to show their love for “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
State officials announced plans Tuesday to launch a Disneyland-themed specialty license plate to raise money for children’s hospitals across California, including Madera County’s Valley Children’s Hospital.

The California State Treasurer’s Office said the plate will move forward in the Department of Motor Vehicles’ approval process once 7,500 people join the preorder interest list. Fans can add their names to the list on the treasurer’s website.
Once the threshold is met, the design review process will begin. The treasurer’s office and DMV expect to reveal the final design and open presale orders in the coming months…
