FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Firefighters in Fresno rescued a dog stranded on an island at the city’s Roeding Park on Friday morning, according to the Fresno Fire Department.
According to the fire department, Engine 19 responded just after 10 a.m. to one of the park’s manmade lakes after reports of a dog stuck on an island.
Firefighters with Engine 19 used one of the boats at the park to reach the dog and safely bring it back to shore.
The dog was later turned over to animal control and was reported to be in good health.
