$50K worth of illegal fireworks seized from Old Town Clovis home, police say

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Clovis man was arrested after he was found with about 1,000 illegal fireworks on Thursday, the Clovis Police Department announced.

Officers say on May 7, they responded to a home in Old Town Clovis for a request to dispose of fireworks. Following an investigation by the Bomb Squad, a large amount of dangerous, illegal fireworks was found, believed to be stored in and sold from the home.

After serving a search warrant later that afternoon, police said they found about 1,000 illegal fireworks, worth over $50,000, some of which appeared to be homemade.

As a result, police say 28-year-old Nickolas Cropper was arrested on several charges, including felony child endangerment and others related to the possession, transportation, and sale of illegal fireworks…
