Kerman peach farmer digs up 30,000 trees after Del Monte Foods bankruptcy

KERMAN, Calif. (FOX26) β€” Following the Del Monte Foods’ file for bankruptcy, in July 2025, farmers have lost thousands of dollars and some have begun to plow through their peach trees.

Clingstone peaches, the sweet variety most often used for canning, are leaving some California growers with few options after their contracts with Del Monte Foods fell through.
