Fresno man arrested after 2 teens killed returning from restaurant, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 25-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with a double homicide that left two 15-year-old boys dead and another teen injured in northeast Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Homicide detectives say they identified Lelan Lee as the suspect.

IDENTIFIED: Teens shot and killed after returning from Fresno restaurant

Police said the shooting happened Monday, March 23, around 1:20 a.m. near Fourth Street and San Jose Avenue after officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire. Officers say the teens were getting back from a restaurant early Monday morning when shots were fired.

Officers found a 15-year-old boy who died at the scene. A second 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital, where he later died. A 14-year-old boy was found near Bond Street and San Ramon Avenue, treated at Community Regional Medical Center, and was released.

Police said a fourth juvenile, a 17-year-old, was also shot at but was not injured. Investigators say all four juveniles were walking together when the shooting happened…
