MARINA, CA — Officers with the Marina Police Department officers arrested 39-year-old Ky Johnson of Fresno on May 2, 2026, following a domestic disturbance report and the subsequent recovery of stolen firearms. The initial incident occurred on May 1, 2026, in the 200 block of Carmel Avenue, where authorities responded to reports of an armed male at a residence while children were present. Johnson reportedly left the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
An investigation into the incident revealed that Johnson was subject to an active restraining order that prohibited him from possessing or owning firearms. On May 2, Marina officers, with assistance from the California State University of Monterey Bay Police Department, located Johnson inside a vehicle at the Carmel Avenue address. He was taken into custody without incident on initial charges of child endangerment and public intoxication.
