Mexican nationals indicted on fentanyl distribution charges in Fresno

FRESNO, California — Two Mexican nationals have been indicted on charges related to fentanyl distribution, according to U.S. Attorney Eric Grant.

Victor Piceno Madrigal, 46, and Erick Larios Acosta, 25, were charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl, as well as possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, following a federal grand jury’s two-count indictment. The charges stem from a May 13, 2026, traffic stop on U.S. Interstate-5 in Fresno County, where authorities discovered 7 kilograms of fentanyl powder concealed in the rear passenger door panel of their vehicle, according to court documents.
