Eat and shop for free at Frisco’s Rail District starting next week. Here’s how

FRISCO, Texas — For over a year, businesses in Frisco’s Rail District have struggled to stay afloat while construction shut down much of Main Street. Now, the city is offering visitors a deal to enjoy the nearly completed district, while also giving back to the local businesses.

Shoppers can double their buying power with a buy-one-get-one deal. For example, when residents buy a $50 gift card to enjoy a local business, they’ll get another gift card of the same amount, courtesy of the Frisco Community Development Corporation.

The city of Frisco is wrapping up its $70 million construction project on the portion of Main Street that runs straight through the rail yard. The project’s goal is to make the entertainment and dining district a more walkable area with wider sidewalks, improved drainage, and safer crossings…
