Luxury tower planned at JCPenney’s Plano HQ campus

Once the sprawling home base of a major American department store chain, part of this North Texas property is on its way to becoming a towering luxury residential development.

A 22-story luxury high-rise is planned for 6501 Legacy Drive in Plano—on the site of the former 100-acre JCPenney headquarters. The project, known as The Parks at Legacy West, calls for  261 multi-family units and three adjacent townhomes.

Apartment floor plans will include one to three-bedroom options, ranging from 682 to 2,843 square feet, according to the StreetLights Residential website—the developers behind the project. Townhomes will be built with a three-bedroom layout, between 3,283 square feet and 3,316 square feet…
