Target bringing new store, 200 jobs to Little Elm

Target Corp. is opening its first store in a growing suburb about 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. The 148,000-square-foot store will open next month at 26550 E. University Drive along the U.S. 380 corridor near the Little Elm-Aubrey boundary. The store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and employ about 200 people, according to the retailer’s website.

The new location is part of Target’s $5 billion capital investment plan for 2026, which includes opening 30 new stores and remodeling 130 others.
