Cowboy Chicken is officially celebrating the arrival of its newest Plano location with a week of food, discounts and community events. From July 13 through July 19, the Texas-born chain will host a series of grand opening festivities at its restaurant located at 8245 Preston Road, offering everything from kids-eat-free promotions and 1981 menu pricing to firefighter appreciation and a fundraiser supporting Carry The Load.
Although the restaurant quietly opened in May, the weeklong celebration marks its official grand opening and gives the community a chance to experience Cowboy Chicken’s signature wood-fired rotisserie chicken and Texas hospitality.
Seven Days Of Specials
Each day of grand opening week features a different promotion or community event:
- July 13 Kids Eat Free: Children eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée after 4 p.m. (Dine-in only.)
- July 14 Wild West Rewards Day: Rewards members receive 20% off their purchase. Guests can sign up in-store or online.
- July 15 Fire Department Appreciation: Local firefighters receive 50% off dine-in orders with valid ID. A family-friendly touch-a-truck display will also be available.
- July 16 Throwback 1981 Pricing: Select menu favorites will be offered at their original 1981 prices in celebration of Cowboy Chicken’s founding. (Dine-in only.)
- July 17 Blondes Who Eat Meet & Greet: Guests can meet the creators behind @BlondesWhoEat during lunch and sample their signature creamy green sauce.
- July 18–19 Carry The Load Weekend: Cowboy Chicken will donate 20% of proceeds to Carry The Load, supporting the nonprofit’s mission of honoring military members, veterans, first responders and their families.
A Texas Favorite Expands In Plano
Founded in 1981, Cowboy Chicken has built its reputation around all-natural chicken cooked over a real wood fire, paired with homestyle sides, fresh salads, sandwiches and seasonal menu offerings.
