The Berkeley Square shopping center at West Park Boulevard and Preston Road could be heading for a significant transformation. An affiliate of national retail developer Edens has filed multiple applications with the City of Plano to redevelop the 4701 W. Park Blvd. site into a mixed-use project combining multifamily housing and retail on land currently occupied by an existing retail center.
According to the city’s development review list, Berkeley Square (Edens), LLC has filed a preliminary site plan covering retail and 356 multifamily residences across four lots on roughly 14.8 acres within the Preston Road Overlay District. That filing is on the Planning and Zoning Commission’s agenda for September 8.
Two additional filings describe separate residential parcels on the site: 254 apartments on a 4.0-acre lot on the north side of Early Morn Drive, and 102 units on a 2.9-acre lot on the south side of Early Morn Drive…
