Costco is continuing its expansion across Texas, with plans for a major new warehouse and fuel center in Wylie, Texas, a rapidly growing suburb northeast of Dallas
According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the company is planning approximately $42 million in new construction at 2002 W. Kirby Street. The project includes roughly $40 million for the Costco warehouse and another $2 million for the accompanying fuel center. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in October 2026 with completion targeted for August 2027, although those dates remain subject to change. (MySanAntonio)
Growth Driving Retail Expansion
Wylie’s growth provides a strong backdrop for Costco’s investment. The city’s population increased from approximately 43,500 residents in 2013 to more than 62,400 by 2023, representing growth of roughly 44% in just a decade. (MySanAntonio)
