Collector’s Edition, a hobby shop stocked with sports memorabilia, trading cards, jerseys and anime figures, plans to open a new storefront at Allen Premium Outlets at 820 W. Stacy Road, Suite 310, right next to the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop. The store is targeting an October 1 grand opening after relocating out of a Plano mall that’s being cleared out for redevelopment.
The move comes after The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Collector’s Edition’s previous home, set an August 31 deadline for tenants to vacate ahead of a planned demolition, according to The Real Deal. The mall is being torn down to make way for a roughly $3 billion mixed-use redevelopment that could eventually include a proposed Dallas Stars arena district. A Bigger Mall Overhaul Behind the Move
The redevelopment project, known as The Bend, aims to replace the enclosed mall — built in 2001 — with a mix of office, residential, hotel and retail space, according to Local Profile. Collector’s Edition is moving to the open-air Allen Premium Outlets instead.
Allen Premium Outlets has over 120 stores, per prior reporting from CoStar. Collector’s Edition will join the outlet center’s retail lineup.
