North Dallas Bank Opens Frisco Campus on Former Fields Family Ranch

North Dallas Bank & Trust Co. opened its Frisco Fields Legacy multi-use campus last week, planting its sixth North Texas banking center on land that once belonged to a sprawling cattle and wheat ranch owned by one of the bank’s own founding directors. The 51,000-square-foot campus, located at the southwest corner of Legacy Drive and Fields Parkway, opened September 14, with a celebration held two days later at the site in the Fields district of Frisco.

The campus sits on 3.9 acres that NDBT purchased from Bert Fields Jr. in 2018, according to Community Impact. Fields, who served as a founding director of the bank, inherited the land as part of the larger Fields Family Headquarters Ranch, a 2,544-acre spread in north Frisco where cattle roamed and wheat grew for more than 70 years before the property was sold for development in 2018, per Local Profile. The three-story project was designed by global architecture firm Gensler.

A Campus Built to Tell the Fields Story

The Fields Legacy campus includes a 30,000-square-foot multi-tenant office building anchored by NDBT’s own banking center, though the multi-tenant space remains under construction and the bank has not yet announced its future tenants, the article notes. What has already taken shape is a community greenspace behind the banking facility featuring statues, installations, and an original oil field truck honoring Bert Fields — a nod to the ranching, oil, and cattle heritage the family brought to the region.

The greenspace includes bronze sculptures highlighting local ranching, oil, cowboy, and banking history, according to Local Profile. Jay Henry said the property highlights banking, ranching, and oil and gas industries that helped shape the Texas economy, per the same account. Miller said NDBT views banking as stewardship of resources, relationships, confidence, opportunity, and trust, per Community Impact.

A $500,000 Gift and a Growing Balance Sheet

At the ribbon-cutting, NDBT presented the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation with a $500,000 donation. The gift arrives as NDBT reports solid underlying financial health: as of June 30, the bank held $1.81 billion in total assets, $1.56 billion in deposits, and $1.26 billion in net loans across its branch network, according to FDIC data…
