McKinney National Airport is adding more options for travelers, and Avelo Airlines is behind the expansion. Avelo announced Sept. 24 that it will add four nonstop destinations from McKinney National Airport, bringing its total number of destinations from the Collin County airport to nine.
The new routes will take travelers to Denver and Atlanta beginning Dec. 16, followed by New Orleans and Nashville on Dec. 17.
The expansion comes before Avelo’s first flights from McKinney even take off. The airline’s inaugural service at the airport is scheduled to begin Nov. 11, with flights to five destinations: Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa.
