Chito’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant served its first plates at a new Frisco address on October 4, ending a roughly two-year hiatus for the restaurant. The restaurant now operates at 9145 John Elliot Drive, right next to the Frisco Fresh Market, a far cry from its old perch across the street from Toyota Stadium.
The original location at 6129 Main Street in Frisco Square had been serving tacos, burritos, enchiladas, soups, salads, tamales and other Mexican cuisine before closing in June 2024, according to Community Impact. That 8,279-square-foot Frisco Square space had previously been home to Mattito’s Tex-Mex before Chito’s moved in, per the same outlet’s earlier reporting.
The old storefront didn’t sit empty for long. Buffalo-based wing chain Anchor Bar took over the former Chito’s space in December 2025, opening a sports bar directly across Main Street from the stadium, according to Texas is Life.
