EMS typically respond quickly and transport patients for urgent care—even for the most unexpected reason. However, one Texas man who claimed to be injured in a car crash alleged that first responders refused to take him to the hospital right away, citing his skin color as the reason.
“Inadequate care. That’s what’s going on here. I just got in a wreck,” Mr. Aura (@mr..aura777) can be heard telling EMS during the incident. In his video shared on TikTok, Aura can be seen surrounded by several first responders and the Assistant Medical Director of the Lewisville Fire Department, while a view of his car showed its mangled state with the airbags deployed.
Aura then accused EMS of failing to transport him for treatment, claiming they allegedly refused to rush him to the emergency room because of his skin color. Frustrated by what he described as inadequate care, Aura told EMS he would hold them “accountable in the court of law, because that’s my right,” and went on to accuse them of malpractice.

According to Aura, the accident allegedly left him with a concussion and a C5 fracture, a serious spinal cord injury at the base of the neck that affects arm and shoulder movement, breathing, and other vital functions, per SpinalCord. However, Aura claimed that EMS wanted to search him first before transporting him to a hospital.
“Do you search every white person? Every person that gets into an accident, you search ‘em?” Aura directed at the surrounding EMS. In response, one of the responders told Aura that he was “acting irrational.” Aura denied this, asking the responder to clarify what he meant before saying, “Cause of my skin. I am Black. That’s why you were scared, brother. Grow up, bro.”…
