Frisco’s Red Lobster on Preston Road Closes

The Red Lobster at 3056 Preston Road in Frisco closed on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, with door signage confirming the shutdown. The closure lands just over two years after the seafood chain filed for bankruptcy, and it adds Frisco to a growing list of North Texas communities losing their local Red Lobster.

According to Community Impact, the restaurant’s closing was confirmed by the signage posted on its door, and the chain said in a statement that it was grateful to every guest who visited over the years. NRN reported that as of this week, the chain’s website listed 484 U.S. locations, down 36 from the 520 it had at the end of 2025 — a 7% drop. Inc., in a separate report, put the chain’s footprint at approximately 540 restaurants nationwide…
