Dishonorable Discharge for TX State Rep Frazier: Running for Re-election Despite Convictions

Texas State Rep Frederick Frazier (R), of McKinney, was convicted last month of three crimes in Collin County. Despite the convictions, Frazier is running for re-election.

Frazier was also a Dallas Police Officer at the time of his arrest and convictions.

Today, the Dallas Police Department released a document showing that Frazier received a Dishonorable Discharge from the police force last month.

Frazier’s official X account (formerly Twitter) https://twitter.com/FrazierForTexas has provided no comment to date, yet has posted a recent endorsement from a police organization.

According to an earlier report from the Dallas Morning News, Frazier decided to retire instead of face likely termination while under an active Internal Affairs investigation.

Despite his dishonorable discharge and criminal convictions, he will receive a police pension and can remain in public office.
